NetPoint Express Error in Searching/Polling

    NetPoint Express Error in Searching/Polling

    My network consists of 45 PC's and 2 servers running in a single Active Directory domain and in a single VLAN. The PC's are all running XP Pro SP3 and the servers are running Windows 2003 Enterprise Server. All of the PC's and servers have Internet Explorer ver 7 or ver 8.

    The issue I'm experiencing is that when I perform a search with name is like Explorer, or Internet Explorer or Windows Internet Explorer, or any other combination the results contain only 20 records. The same is true if I open the components window and select program. When I sort the results by name it also shows only 20 records. Is this a limitation in the Express version of NetPoint or is there something else causing this problem?

    Hi Everett,

    At the top of your search results, can you let me know how many items NetPoint reported back? The page will say something along the lines of "Results 1 - 20 of 200 for ...".

    By default NetPoint will paginate your search results. If there are more items to display, there should be some page numbers at the bottom of the page that allows you to view more. There's also a "Switch to Full View" link available at the top of the page that turns pagination off.

    Hi Shannon. The search reported back 20 items, i.e. 1 of 20. One other interesting fact that I uncovered just a short while ago, it appears that this happens only to Explorer. All of the other applications seem to be properly reported.

    Can you attach a screenshot or e-mail one to support@neutex.net?

    Also on one of the systems not being reported, can you check Add/Remove Programs for Internet Explorer? Sometimes updated versions of IE tend to get bundled with Service Packs, so they wont get reported as a stand-alone program.
